Subjects are needed for a clinical trial designed to test if acupuncture can be used to assist drug therapy in the treatment of depression.

You will need to be suffering from depression and be taking medication prescribed by your doctor (please refer below for the inclusion list of medications). If you qualify for the study, you will receive 12 free acupuncture treatments and $50 to cover traveling expenses at the completion on the study. Participation is voluntary and you can withdraw form the study at any time. The trial will be conducted within the Sydney CBD.

Aropax; Auscap; Celapram; Ciazil; Cipramil; Citalopram; Concorz; Eleva; Esipram; Extine; Faverin; Fluohexal; Fluoxetine; Fluoxebell; Lexapro; Lovan; Luvox; Movox; Oxetine; Paroxetine; Paxtine; Prozac; Sertraline; Talam; Talohexal; Voxam; Xydep; Zactin; and Zoloft.

The University of Technology Human Research Ethics Committee has granted the appropriate approvals for this study (approval # 2007-28A).
